Going for a walk on Christmas Day usually means a stroll around the garden before tucking into the pavlova. But what if you were looking for something more challenging?

The New Zealand Cycle Classic will celebrate its 30th Anniversary in January 2017 with new stage routes for riders and an exciting line-up of community events that are part of Huri Huri: Wairarapa’s Festival of Cycling.

Celebrate this summer in the sun or in the shade of the olive trees at Brodie Estate.  While away the afternoons with a selection of summer wines including dry Riesling, fruity Chardonnay, their famous Angel’s Sigh Rose or Pinot Noir complemented with platters or picnic baskets full of sumptuous goodies.

Held each March this 10km or 21km walking or running event sees entrants pass through quiet country roads and otherwise inaccessible vineyards. Themed drink stations throughout the event feature live music as well as samples of local wines for those who have a more relaxed approach to the day! This is a fundraiser for Martinborough School. March 19th
