With its variety of terrain, stunning scenery and handy shuttle bus, Rivenrock Mountainbike Park is looking set to put Wairarapa on the mountainbike track. It’s only been open for a matter of weeks, but Rivenrock Mountainbike Park near Mount Holdsworth already has the biking fraternity in a buzz.

Twelve stunning Gottfried Lindauer portraits of Wairarapa rangatira will be at the heart of an ambitious new exhibition – ‘Te marae o Rongotaketake - Redressing our Kahungunu History’. The exhibition will  explore the past, present future of the Wairarapa iwi Ngaiti Kahungunu, and is due to open in April this year.

More than half a century ago an energetic group of local businessmen set up a trust in order to plan a magnificent lake for the inland town of Masterton. Following decades of hard work and dedication carried out by many individuals, their vision became a reality. It took over 70 people to provide text, photos and artworks to create a community anthology about Henley Lake, steered by a persistent person at the helm.
